This kit is for the serious enthusiast, it includes UMI's Roto-Joints on all ends for
maximum performance, extreme handling and no bushing deflection. This complete
kit features on car adjustment on both the control arms and the panhard bar.
Adjustments are made by simply loosing two jam nuts on each item to simply
shorten or lengthen it while it stays attached to the vehicle. Adjustable items are used
to center the rear end after vehicle lowering, when tire clearance is needed or when
installing large aftermarket rear ends. This kit features chrome moly tube adapters
that are TIG welding into place for the utmost in strength and thread durability. The
tube adapters are CNC machined with left and right hand threads making for easy on
car adjustments with out having to unbolt and remove the item. The installed Roto-
Joint design improves performance over the factory rubber and aftermarket
polyurethane bushings by allowing the suspension to articulate correctly. The Roto-
Joint is designed to articulate and prevent suspension bind, and since the installed
delrin race does not deflect like softer bushings, there is an improvement in traction
and a significant reduction in wheel hop. The installed delrin race, which lines the
spherical ball, absorbs shock and road noise for a quiet and smooth operation
working well on the street and at the track. The included Roto-Joints are greaseable
and low maintenance making an excellent street setup for your cruiser or race car!
Spanner Wrench- This spanner wrench is used for adjusting and disassembling
Roto-Joints used in all UMI Performance products. Over time if the delrin race inside
the Roto-Joint would wear the spanner wrench is used to tighten the adjusting ring
applying more pressure to the delrin inside. The spanner wrench is also used to
disassemble the Roto-Joint for cleaning, inspection and rebuilding.
