Instructions:
- Remove the door from the vehicle (recommended) and place on a stable workbench or stand.
- Remove interior door panel, window regulator glass (if required), trim, weatherstripping, and any hardware obstructing access to the outer skin.
- Identify and mark spot welds or fasteners holding the old outer skin; use a spot-weld cutter or drill to separate the skin from the inner door shell.
- Carefully cut or grind away the damaged skin and clean remaining flange areas; remove rust and old weld material to expose solid metal.
- Test-fit the new door skin, aligning factory attachment points and trimming any pinch edges as needed for a flush fit.
- Clamp the new skin into position and verify gaps, contours, and panel alignment. Make minor adjustments with dolly and hammer if required.
- Weld the skin in place using plug-welds or spot welds at the original factory locations; stitch weld if necessary to avoid warping.
- Grind welds smooth, treat exposed metal with rust inhibitor, and apply seam sealer to all joining areas for corrosion protection.
- Prime and finish the repaired skin with appropriate primer and paint to match the vehicle.
- Reinstall the window, regulator, trim, weatherstripping, and interior panel; remount the door to the vehicle and check fitment and operation.
