We thought it couldn't get any better, but it did. The 2019 World Rally Championship will go down as a highly memorable season with a nail-biting battle for ultimate honours. The sport's top three drivers fought intensely for the Drivers' title over 14 diverse and challenging rounds across the globe. Chile joined the calendar for the first time and, like many of the existing rallies, it drew huge crowds on the stages. New talent shone too. 18-year-old Kalle Rovanpera took his opportunity in the new WRC2 Pro category, landing a full time WRC drive in 2020 as a reward.
McKlein Publishing launched the Moving Moments Rallying yearbook concept in 2017. The book was very well received leading to a bigger and better version for 2018. Simultaneously McKlein released backdated Rallying yearbooks starting with the 1967 season and latterly the magnificent 512-page documentation of 1977. The bigger and better trend continues for 2019 with McKlein's best images used lavishly over many double page spreads. Anthony Peacock's texts, in the form of short rally-by-rally summaries, complement the photography perfectly, while a series of insightful vignettes, often emotional, sometimes nostalgic, provide the Moving Moments.
Rallying 2019 is a permanent and colorful record of an epic WRC season and a must-have in this collectable series.
Founded in 1993 CarTech, Inc has become one of the leading publishers of how-to automotive titles for the hardcore enthusiast. In 1995 CarTech purchased the S-A Design line of book from Larry Schreib and Larry Atherton who had published their first book in 1976 titled, The Chevrolet Racing Engine, by Bill Grumpy Jenkins. This single title gained wide recognition as “the bible” of high performance engine design and assembly.
CarTech has continued to expand on this tradition and now has over 300 titles available for the enthusiast, in a wide variety of formats – from print to digital to video. Today, our publishing efforts include our traditional performance “S-A Design” titles along with race histories, biographies of industry icons; in addition to a number series that further assist readers with their projects.
