The original GM tank on 1982-92 models suffered from an inherent flaw at the neck joint, and were recalled back-in-the-day for leaking around the solder joint, which was prone to cracking at the seam. Our reproduction fuel tank filler neck for 1982-92 Camaro and Firebird models was developed to replace the defective original neck in 1982-92 models.
Upgraded, service replacement specifications, features the correct gas cap opening and configuration, and the correct bends and proper neck length for a complete replacement. This neck may differ cosmetically from the original GM neck, but is designed for proper fit, and function when professionally installed. Must be welded or soldered for installation. Approximately 16" of the neck is inserted into the tank and is not visible from outside of the fuel tank.
