Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and loosen the front lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the vehicle with a floor jack and secure it on jack stands. Remove the wheel on the affected side.
- Locate the sway bar link connecting the sway bar to the control arm or strut assembly.
- Apply penetrating oil to mounting nuts if they are corroded; allow to soak briefly.
- Hold the stud with a wrench to prevent rotation and remove the top and bottom mounting nuts with a socket/wrench.
- Remove the old sway bar link. Compare the new link to the old part to confirm correct orientation and length.
- Install the new sway bar link into position and hand-thread the mounting nuts to avoid cross-threading.
- Torque both mounting nuts to the vehicle manufacturer's specification using a torque wrench.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the lug nuts to specification.
- Test drive at low speed to confirm noise elimination and restored handling; re-check torque after a short drive.
