Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and ensure the roof rail area is dry and cool to the touch.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: use a plastic trim tool to pry it from the channel and a razor blade to cut away any stubborn sections.
- Clean the roof rail channel thoroughly with solvent or rubbing alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue; allow to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new seal along the channel to confirm orientation and length; trim excess with a utility knife if necessary.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead to the channel or the seal flange per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Starting at the front of the roof rail, press the new seal into the channel, working toward the rear; use masking tape to hold sections in place if needed.
- Use a rubber mallet or your palm to seat the seal fully into the channel and ensure the bulb compresses evenly along its length.
- Trim and tuck the ends neatly at door jambs or corners; wipe away any excess adhesive immediately.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product directions before exposing the area to water or driving at high speeds.
