Instructions:
- Lower the window slightly and remove the window crank using the appropriate clip or retaining tool.
- Remove door panel screws and carefully pry off the trim panel using a trim tool to avoid damage to clips.
- Peel back the vapor barrier (save for reinstallation) to access the regulator and glass mounting points.
- Support the glass with masking tape or a block to prevent it from dropping when disconnected.
- Remove the bolts or fasteners that attach the window to the regulator and gently separate the glass from the regulator arm.
- Unbolt and remove the old regulator assembly from the door shell and extract it from the access opening.
- Compare the new regulator to the old unit; transfer any retained clips or hardware if necessary.
- Install the new regulator into the door, loosely fasten mounting bolts to allow adjustment.
- Reconnect the window to the regulator, carefully lower or raise the glass to align it in the track, then tighten mounting bolts.
- Lubricate the moving pivots and roller surfaces with grease or silicone lubricant for smooth operation.
- Reinstall the vapor barrier and door panel, reattach the window crank, and test full up/down operation to confirm smooth, rattle-free movement.
