Left-hand trunk floor extension/drop-off panel designed for restoration or repair of 1970-1973 Chevrolet Camaro trunk floors. This precision-formed replacement restores the factory trunk drop-off contour, improving trunk fitment, alignment with the wheelhouse and inner quarter, and structural support at the rear of the vehicle. Manufactured from heavy-gauge steel with OEM-style contours for a reliable, durable repair that resists deformation and accepts standard seam-sealing and finishing methods. Ideal for rot repair, accident restoration, or returning a Camaro trunk to correct original shape and function.

- Stamped heavy-gauge steel with factory-style contours for accurate restoration fit.
- Restores trunk-to-wheelhouse alignment and structural support at the rear floor.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 4/5
- Estimated time: 2-4 hours (varies with skill and prep)
Instructions:
- Inspect and measure the damaged area to confirm fitment and extent of repair needed.
- Remove trunk lining and any components obstructing access; cut away rusted or damaged metal to clean, solid edges.
- Test-fit the replacement panel, aligning factory contours and checking mating surfaces with the wheelhouse/quarter panel.
- Trim or tweak the panel as necessary for a snug, even fit; use hammer/dolly to correct minor contour differences.
- Clamp the panel in position and transfer plug-weld locations or mark spot-weld points along the mating flange.
- Drill plug-weld holes in the new panel where required; tack-weld the panel in place, checking fit continuously.
- Complete welds using short stitch or plug welds to minimize heat distortion; allow to cool between passes.
- Grind welds smooth and dress the repair area; apply seam sealer to all joints to prevent moisture intrusion.
- Prime exposed metal with a rust-inhibiting primer, then topcoat to match trunk interior finish.
- Reinstall trunk components and matting after paint cures; inspect for fitment and finish.
