This neutral safety and backup lamp switch is an OEM-style replacement designed for 1974–1979 Chevrolet Nova (X-Body), 1974–1978 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird (F-Body), and 1974–1977 Chevrolet Chevelle, Monte Carlo, El Camino, and GMC Sprint (A-Body) models equipped with automatic transmission. Additional applications include select 1974–1976 Chevrolet passenger car models and 1976–1980 Chevrolet and GMC C/K Pickup, Blazer, Jimmy, and Suburban trucks, including C/10 Squarebody platforms with automatic transmission. Manufactured to factory specifications, this switch supports proper starter circuit interruption in Park and Neutral positions and activates the backup lamps when Reverse is selected. Designed for restoration and service replacement, it helps maintain correct safety and lighting function in original automatic transmission applications.

Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
