Instructions:
- Work in a well-ventilated area and relieve fuel system pressure. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Safely support and, if necessary, lower or remove the fuel tank according to vehicle service procedures. Place a drain pan under the tank and catch any fuel.
- Clean the sending unit mounting area to prevent contamination. Note fuel line and wiring routing for reassembly.
- Disconnect the fuel line and electrical connector from the old sending unit. Use a rag to catch any remaining fuel.
- Remove the retaining screws or retaining ring and carefully lift out the old sending unit assembly.

- Install a new gasket or sealing ring on the tank opening. Position the new sending unit and secure with the original or supplied fasteners. Torque fasteners to spec if available.

- Reinstall the tank (if removed) and reconnect the battery. Refill with a small amount of fuel, then check connections for leaks.
