Instructions:
- Safety first: work in a well-ventilated area, eliminate open flames/sparks, and wear safety glasses and gloves.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical sparks.
- Relieve fuel system pressure and drain as much fuel as practical into an approved container.
- Support the vehicle securely on jack stands and, if required, slightly lower or remove the fuel tank following factory procedures.

- Disconnect the electrical connector and fuel line(s) from the old sending unit; note wire locations for reassembly.

- Install a new gasket or apply appropriate sealer to the flange, insert the new sending unit into the tank, and secure with the retaining ring or bolts to OEM torque specs.

- Reconnect the negative battery terminal, prime the fuel system if necessary, and turn the ignition on to check for proper gauge operation and any leaks.
