Direct-fit left-hand manual window regulator for 1968-1969 Camaro and Firebird models with deluxe interior. Designed to secure and guide the door glass, this regulator restores smooth, dependable manual window operation while eliminating rattle and misalignment common with worn originals. Built from heavy-duty stamped steel with durable bushings and gear components, it provides reliable long-term performance and corrosion-resistant finishes ideal for restoration or maintenance projects. Easy to install and engineered to OEM fitment standards, it’s a straightforward replacement for classic interior restorations.
Features:
  • Fits 1968-1969 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird with deluxe interior, left-hand (driver side) manual window regulator.
  • Heavy-gauge stamped steel construction for strength and long life.
  • Precision gears and replaceable bushings deliver smooth, consistent manual crank operation.
  • Direct bolt-in design for OEM-style fit and alignment; minimizes glass vibration and wind noise.
  • Corrosion-resistant finish and durable components suited for restoration-grade replacements.
  • Includes mounting points compatible with original door hardware; ideal for restoring factory appearance and function.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Flat-head screwdriver or trim tool
  • Socket set (8–13 mm) and ratchet
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Masking tape
  • Grease or light lubricant
  • Work gloves and safety glasses
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the vehicle: roll window to a position where mounting bolts are accessible, or support the glass with masking tape if necessary.
  2. Remove door panel: pry off trim pieces, remove screws and clips, and carefully lift the panel away to expose the regulator and glass.
  3. Detach handle and hardware: remove the window crank and any door handle or armrest fasteners blocking access to the regulator.
  4. Support the glass: secure the window in place with masking tape or a wedge to prevent it from falling when regulator bolts are removed.
  5. Disconnect the old regulator: remove mounting bolts and any retainers attaching the regulator to the door and glass. Carefully lower and remove the old regulator assembly.
  6. Prepare the new regulator: lightly grease pivot points and sliding surfaces. Transfer any necessary hardware from the old unit if required.
  7. Install the new regulator: position the regulator inside the door, align mounting holes, and loosely install mounting bolts. Attach the glass to the regulator per factory locations.
  8. Align and tighten: adjust glass position for even gaps, then tighten all regulator and glass mounting bolts securely.
  9. Test operation: rotate the window crank to raise and lower the glass, checking for smooth travel, proper alignment, and absence of binding or rattle.
  10. Reassemble door: reinstall the handle, trim, and door panel. Remove masking tape and perform a final operational check.
