The Gas Door Emblem – “Z28” (Blue) – 1980-1981 Camaro brings back the bold tail-panel branding every late-second-gen deserves. Trim Parts reproduces the original GM badge in zinc die-cast for razor-sharp edges, then lays down copper, nickel, and mirror-bright chrome before hand-filling the face with factory-correct blue enamel and charcoal shadowing. Stud spacing aligns with the stock fuel-door holes on all ’80-’81 coupes; OE barrel nuts are included—slide the studs through, tighten, and your Camaro instantly telegraphs Z28 pedigree. Triple-plated chrome resists pitting, road grime, and fuel splash, while precise tab length keeps the emblem flush so the door opens cleanly without paint rub. Whether you’re finishing a concours restoration or updating a driver that lost its badge long ago, this piece restores authenticity, boosts curb appeal, and protects value in one quick install.

Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
