The Grille Inserts – Between Headlamps – LH & RH Pair – 1967-1968 Pontiac Firebird finish the signature twin-opening front end on the first-gen Bird. Trim Parts molds each insert in tough injection ABS, then textures and silver-paints the fins to duplicate GM’s original egg-crate look. Mounting tabs and alignment bosses match the 1967-1968 header panel exactly; OE-style screws are included for both driver- and passenger-side pieces. Slide the inserts into the center openings between the quad headlamps, tighten, and your Firebird regains showroom depth, proper airflow, and that crisp Pontiac identity lost to sun-baked plastics or missing parts.

Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
