Direct-fit standard left or right rocker panel moulding designed for classic Camaros and Firebirds. Fits 1976-1981 Camaro and 1970-1981 Firebird models to secure and protect the lower body trim, align panels, and restore original appearance. Built from corrosion-resistant materials with included OE-style hardware for reliable fastening, this moulding helps prevent rust, reduce vibration, and simplify restoration or replacement projects.
Features:
  • Fitment: 1976-1981 Camaro and 1970-1981 Firebird — standard left or right rocker panel moulding with hardware
  • Constructed from corrosion-resistant stamped steel with a durable finish for long-lasting protection
  • Includes OE-style clips and fasteners to securely align and retain the moulding against the rocker panel
  • Helps prevent panel edge damage and water intrusion while reducing vibration and trim rattles
  • Easy bolt-on installation for restoration projects or replacement of worn/missing trim
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 45-90 minutes per side
Suggested Tools:
  • Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
  • Socket set
  • Trim removal tool or panel clip pliers
  • Rust penetrant (e.g., PB Blaster)
  • Clean rags and degreaser
  • Masking tape
  • Safety glasses and gloves
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and wear safety gear.
  2. If replacing old moulding, apply rust penetrant to fasteners and carefully remove existing screws/clips with the appropriate screwdriver or trim tool.
  3. Clean the rocker area of dirt, rust, and old adhesive; wipe with degreaser and allow to dry.
  4. Test-fit the new moulding to confirm correct orientation (left vs right) and alignment. Use masking tape to mark reference points if needed.
  5. Install supplied clips and hardware to the moulding per the included hardware layout; replace any damaged retainers.
  6. Align the moulding against the rocker panel, engaging clips into the panel holes and hand-start any screws or bolts to hold it in place.
  7. Tighten fasteners evenly—do not over-torque—to seat the moulding without deforming it. Check gaps and alignment as you tighten.
  8. If desired, apply a small bead of seam sealer at panel joints for added corrosion protection (optional for restoration jobs).
  9. Clean the installed moulding and surrounding area. Inspect fitment and test for secure attachment and absence of rattles.
