Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and wear safety gear.
- If replacing old moulding, apply rust penetrant to fasteners and carefully remove existing screws/clips with the appropriate screwdriver or trim tool.
- Clean the rocker area of dirt, rust, and old adhesive; wipe with degreaser and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new moulding to confirm correct orientation (left vs right) and alignment. Use masking tape to mark reference points if needed.
- Install supplied clips and hardware to the moulding per the included hardware layout; replace any damaged retainers.
- Align the moulding against the rocker panel, engaging clips into the panel holes and hand-start any screws or bolts to hold it in place.
- Tighten fasteners evenly—do not over-torque—to seat the moulding without deforming it. Check gaps and alignment as you tighten.
- If desired, apply a small bead of seam sealer at panel joints for added corrosion protection (optional for restoration jobs).
- Clean the installed moulding and surrounding area. Inspect fitment and test for secure attachment and absence of rattles.
