Reproduction lower dash panel section that houses the in-dash radio, glove box section and air vent assembly. The trim panel is manufactured to exact specifications for 1973-76 which is known as the first design in 1976 Camaro models. However, this panel can be used as a service replacement on 1970-72 models with only a cosmetic difference being that this panel is equipped with the seat belt warning lens found on the later 1973-76 style panel. Additionally, this panel will also fit 1976-81 models with slight modifications to the radio holes.
This reproduction is correct for all 1973-76 models equipped with "first design" radio. Features the correct grain in ABS plastic material as original. Attaches directly to the lower section of the dash pad.
Note:The original panel for 1970-72 models had a dimension between radio holes of 6.25 and did NOT have a seat belt warning lens. The original panel for 1973-76 (1st design) models also has dimension between radio holes of 6.25, but is WITH seat belt warning lens. The original panel for 1976-81 (2nd design) model has a dimension between radio holes of 5.75.

Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
