Instructions:
- Open the hood and prop it securely.
- Locate the existing hood/fender bumper and remove any retaining nut or clip using the appropriate socket or wrench. Apply penetrating oil first if hardware is rusted.
- Pull the old bumper out of the mounting hole. Use a flathead screwdriver or trim tool to help pry if necessary.
- Clean the mounting hole and surrounding area with a rag to remove dirt and debris.
- Insert the new BMP 018 bumper into the mounting hole so the rubber seat sits flush against the panel.
- Install and hand-tighten the mounting nut or clip to secure the bumper; then snug with a wrench—do not overtighten and deform the rubber.
- Close the hood and check alignment and contact. Adjust bumper height or reposition as needed for even contact and proper hood gap.
- Recheck tightness after a short test drive and make final adjustments if required.
