Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake and chock wheels.
- Loosen the wheel lug nuts, then raise the vehicle and support securely on jack stands. Remove the wheel.
- Support the lower control arm with a jack or stand to take load off the bolt.
- Apply penetrating oil to the existing nut and bolt if present. Remove the nut and withdraw the old bolt.
- Inspect control arm bushings and mounting brackets; replace any worn components before installing the new bolt.
- Align the control arm and push the new lower A-arm bolt through the mounting holes and bushings until fully seated.
- Install washer and nut and hand-tighten. Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle until it is at normal ride height (suspension loaded).
- With the vehicle at ride height, torque the nut to the vehicle manufacturer's specified value. Re-torque after a short test drive if recommended.
- Double-check all fasteners and perform a test drive to verify steering and suspension performance.
