Inner tie rod end for 2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro (fits both right and left hand). This direct-fit replacement restores proper steering geometry by connecting the inner steering rack to the outer tie rod assembly, helping to maintain precise steering response and tire wear. Built from heat-treated steel with a corrosion-resistant finish and a durable ball stud and socket, the part provides reliable, long-lasting performance under normal driving conditions. Ideal for steering system repairs, suspension rebuilds, or routine maintenance to eliminate play, vibration, and uneven tire wear.
Features:
- Vehicle fitment: 2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro — inner tie rod end, right and left hand compatible.
- Constructed from heat-treated steel with corrosion-resistant coating for long service life.
- Restores steering precision and alignment, reducing play, vibration, and uneven tire wear.
- Direct-fit replacement for quick installation without modification.
- Sealed ball-and-socket design with protective boot to keep contaminants out and extend service life.
- Ideal for restoration, suspension repairs, and routine steering system maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes (per side, depending on experience and vehicle lift availability)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set parking brake, and chock rear wheels. Loosen front lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and support securely on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Locate the inner tie rod end connecting the steering rack to the outer tie rod. Apply penetrating oil to fasteners as needed.
- Mark the current position of the outer tie rod on the stud or measure the thread count from a reference point to preserve alignment during reassembly.
- Loosen and remove the outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle (if needed) and free it from the assembly to gain access. Use a tie rod puller or a hammer with caution.
- Remove the retaining nut/clip and slide off the protective boot to expose the inner tie rod connection. Use the appropriate inner tie rod tool or wrench to loosen and remove the inner tie rod from the steering rack.
- Compare the new inner tie rod to the old part to ensure correct length and thread pitch. If the new part includes a boot or grease fitting, prepare as required.
- Install the new inner tie rod by threading it onto the steering rack to the pre-measured position. Tighten to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque.
- Reinstall the protective boot and any retaining hardware. Reattach the outer tie rod end to the steering knuckle and torque to specifications.
- Reinstall the wheel, hand-tighten lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and torque lug nuts to specification.
- Because steering geometry may have changed, have a qualified technician perform a four-wheel alignment immediately after installation.
