Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry out any retained sections and peel off adhesive residue.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive remover and a clean cloth; allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new seal along the door to verify orientation and length; trim excess if necessary, leaving a small overlap at the ends.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or back of the new seal following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Position the seal at one end of the door and press it firmly into the channel, working along the length and ensuring the retention profile engages evenly.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in place if needed while the adhesive cures.
- Close the door and check alignment and compression; make minor adjustments if needed before the adhesive fully sets.
- Allow the adhesive to cure per product instructions before exposing to water or heavy use.
