Instructions:
- Open and securely prop the hood to access the bumper mounting area.
- Locate the existing hood/fender bumper and remove the retaining nut or screw. Apply penetrating oil and allow to soak if hardware is corroded.
- Pull out the old bumper and remove any remaining hardware or debris from the mounting hole.
- Clean the mounting surface and hole with a cloth to remove grease and rust for a flush fit.
- Position the new bumper into the mounting hole with the metal insert aligned, then hand-start the nut or screw to secure it.
- Tighten the fastener snugly with a socket or wrench — avoid over-tightening which can compress the bumper excessively.
- Close the hood and check clearance and latch engagement. If necessary, adjust bumper height or reposition slightly for even hood-to-fender gaps.
- Re-open the hood and re-check fastener tightness after a short test drive or a few uses to ensure proper seating.
