Instructions:
- Open the door and remove any interior trim or retainers that obstruct the weatherstrip channel using a trim tool or screwdriver.
- Carefully peel away and remove the old weatherstrip from the door jamb and channel.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or an automotive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the door edge to confirm correct orientation and length; trim excess if necessary.
- If the seal requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting channel per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip into the channel starting at one end and working your way along the door, ensuring the bulb and flange seat fully. Use a seam roller or a soft mallet to seat the profile evenly.
- Reinstall any trim pieces or retainers removed earlier and close the door to check for proper fit and compression; make minor adjustments as needed.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per product directions before exposing the door to moisture or driving at highway speeds.
