This left-hand Roof Rail Weatherstrip Seal (RWL 1410 70) is a direct-fit replacement for 1970–1981 Chevrolet Camaro roof rails. Designed to restore the original sealing surface, it prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise, and protects the interior and roof trim from weather-related damage. Molded from durable, weather-resistant rubber with a factory-style profile, this seal provides reliable, long-lasting performance and an OEM-like fit for restoration and maintenance projects. Easy to install and built to withstand UV, ozone, and temperature extremes, it’s an ideal part for restoring a tight, quiet roof line.

- Resists UV, ozone and temperature extremes to maintain flexibility and seal.
- Direct replacement for restoration and maintenance — restores original fit and finish.
- Simple installation with common trim tools and adhesive — no specialized skills required.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry up the existing seal and remove any retaining clips or adhesive residue.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner; remove dirt, old glue, and rust to ensure a good bond.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the roof rail to confirm orientation (left-hand) and fit. Trim any excess if necessary before applying adhesive.
- Apply a thin bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the roof rail channel or the seal flange per adhesive manufacturer instructions. Use masking tape to hold ends if needed.
- Starting at the front, press the weatherstrip into the rail channel, working rearward. Ensure the profile seats fully and aligns with the roofline; use a rubber mallet or block to press firmly without damaging the seal.
- Secure any clips or screws if applicable and wipe away excess adhesive immediately.
- Allow adhesive to cure as specified by the adhesive manufacturer (typically 30 minutes to several hours) before exposing to water or reinstalling interior trim.
