- Replaces worn or damaged left-hand door seals to stop water leaks and reduce wind noise
- Designed to restore proper door closing feel and help prevent interior water damage and corrosion
- Easy to install with adhesive or retainer clips; suitable for restoration and routine maintenance
- Durable construction resists compression set, UV, and ozone for reliable sealing performance
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it out of the retainer channel or removing any clips; use a trim tool to avoid scratching paint.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease; allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new seal along the door frame to confirm orientation and length. Trim any excess with scissors or a utility knife if needed.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead to the channel or back of the seal following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one end (usually the front top corner), press the seal firmly into the retainer channel, working along the length and ensuring consistent engagement and alignment.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in place if needed while adhesive cures. Close and open the door gently to check fit and prevent pinching.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per product directions before removing tape and returning the vehicle to service. Inspect the seal for gaps and adjust if necessary.
