Instructions:
- Open the hood and locate the existing hood/fender bumper locations on the radiator support/inner fender.
- Remove the old bumper(s): pry straight up if push-in style or unscrew/remove any retaining hardware if present. Use penetrating oil on stubborn fasteners and pliers if necessary.
- Clean the mounting area with isopropyl alcohol or degreaser and a rag; remove rust or debris with a small wire brush to ensure a flat seating surface.
- Inspect any original hardware. If the bumper uses a stud or clip, confirm the clip or nut is serviceable—replace if corroded.
- Position the new bumper in the mounting hole. For push-in types, align the flange and press firmly until fully seated. For threaded/stud types, hand-start the nut or clip, then tighten until snug—do not over-tighten.
- Close the hood slowly to verify proper cushioning and panel alignment. If the hood gap or contact is off, adjust bumper height or replace additional bumpers as needed to achieve even spacing.
- Recheck after a short test drive to ensure the bumper remains seated and that vibration/noise has been resolved.
